Manan Amin (Director, Algallio Biotech) has more than 10 years vast experience in the Business development, customer relation and production in Life insurance, plastic recycling, and algal cultivation sectors. Prior to Algallio, Manan Amin was worked for a long time in life insurance in PNB MetLife. He is successfully managing plastic Recycling industry and algal cultivation system, which shows his entrepreneurial leadership. He has good experience in management to achieve goal-oriented work. He has currently focused on business and market development for Spirulina and its derived products in Indian Market.
Chetan Paliwal is the Director (Business Development). He has worked for more than 7 years in the field of algal biotechnology. He is pursuing PhD from AcSIR-CSMCRI and worked in the area of lipophilic fluorescent pigments i.e. carotenoids from the cyanobacteria. He has 2 patents and 18 international research papers under his credentials. During his stay in CSIR-CSMCRI, he has visited Brazil under a DST funded Indo-Brazil joint project. He has a research expertise in the area of algae cultivation, harvesting, extraction of oil alongwith various other biological compounds. Algal biorefinery with zero waste is the area of his keen interest.
Amee Purav Patel is the Director of Sales and Marketing in determines the strategies for sales and marketing in ALGALLIO BIOTECH PVT LTD. Before joining she had experience in various Biotechnology companies and Pharmaceutical companies in the R&D and QC departments. She has post-graduation degrees in M. Sc. Microbiology, M. Phil in Biotechnology and P. G. Diploma in Intellectual property rights. Knowing the importance of nutrition in the food, and with a passion for serving better food to the people joined ALGALLIO BIOTECH PVT LTD.
Dr Anupama Mishra is Algallio Biotech’s Co-founder and Director of Research and Product development. She has more than 12 years of experience in microbial technology and bioprocessing, including 8 years of research experience in SPAN diagnostics and CSMCRI. Prior to joining KAIST, Republic of Korea, Anupama was a post-doctoral fellow in food technology department of Kyung Hee University, Suwon, Republic of Korea. After that, she joined Advanced Biomass R&D Center, KAIST; the Republic of Korea for biofuel research. She holds her PhD in Microbiology from CSMCRI (CSIR lab)- Bhavnagar University, she developed a process for microbially synthesised biopolymer from Jatropha biodiesel waste, which is completely biodegradable and the whole process is zero waste process (US Patent granted). During her PhD, she has also carried out her research in Helmholtz centre for Infection Research (HZI) in Braunschweig, Germany under DAAD fellowship program. She has more than 31 research publications and 4 patents to her credit. She has also received a national award from Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Government of India in 2012 for her research in Innovation in Green polymeric materials. Nowadays she is trying to develop new taste with high nutritious nutraceutical products for Indian population.
Dr Sanjiv Kumar Mishra is CEO and founder member of Algallio Biotech Private Limited, He worked as Post-Doctoral researcher in the area of microalgal technology for value-added products like Phycocyanin, Phycoerythrin, DHA and downstream processing for fuel production, at Advanced Biomass R&D Center, KAIST; Republic of Korea. After receiving his PhD in 2012 in Microbiology from the (CSIR-CSMCRI) Bhavnagar University, Dr Sanjiv began his professional scientific career as post-doc by joining the research Group of Prof. Ji-Won Yang in KAIST to study microalgal biofuel, microalgal bacterial interaction, cyanobacteria biotechnology, fluorescent proteins, microalgal harvesting and extraction . He has also been awarded DAAD fellowship to carry out research in ICBM, Oldenburg, Germany. His major research interest is to develop technology to produce microalgal-based biofuels and valuable natural products that can be economically sustainable. His 11 years of research experience cover various fields of science revolving around his expertise in microalgal biomass, bioplastics and fluorescent proteins. He has about 34 publications and 6 patents to his credit. He has also received a national award for Innovation in Green polymeric materials from Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Government of India in 2012. Nowadays, his main focus is to develop various economic algal products for the community.
